The adventure of traveling with Jovive

We are passionate about traveling, and doing it by car is our favorite way to explore the world. Living the adventure of traveling by spending the night on the roof of a car is what led us to create Jovive.

We are Jorge and Carmen, the adventurers behind the creation of the Rooftent for car Jovive Tent.

Problems?

THE PROBLEM WITH TRAVELING BY CARAVAN

For a while we traveled by caravan, but we soon discovered its limitations: speed, complicated routes, wind, mandatory campgrounds, and the added cost of parking. We began to feel that this type of travel no longer matched the freedom we were seeking.

Solutions!

A NEW WAY TO MOVE

We wanted to keep our usual car, without buying a camper or motorhome. We just needed a lighter and more flexible way to sleep wherever the road took us. That's how we came across our first Rooftop Tent. The experience was eye-opening... but also imperfect.

Problems?

WHAT DIDN'T WORK

The Tent was heavy, difficult to set up, uncomfortable in the cold, and didn't allow us to carry our paddleboards. Essential details were missing, such as good ventilation, light, or privacy. We tried other brands and models, but none met all our needs.

THIS IS HOW JOVIVE WAS BORN

From that search was born Jovive Tent: our answer to all the problems we encountered on the road. We designed a Rooftent for car that offered the freedom we dreamed of, without giving up comfort, functionality, and the adventurous spirit that drives us.

The beginning of a new dream

After many failed attempts with other brands, we decided to take the step and create our own Rooftent for car. We wanted something that truly met all our needs as travelers: practical, comfortable, functional, and durable. This is how the adventure of designing Jovive Tent began.

From idea to prototype

We sat down to review everything we had missed in other models: thermal insulation, lightness, ease of use, space for luggage... We researched materials, redesigned each part, and made our first prototypes. In the summer of 2019, we finally tested our first two Jovive Tent.

Lightweight, practical, and ready for adventure

Jovive Tent is the lightest Rooftop Tent on the market: it weighs only 50 kg and one person can install and open it in just 2 minutes. Its double opening system allows sleeping in campgrounds, camper areas, or in the middle of nature with total comfort and freedom.

More space, more freedom
